From Balallan, Isle of Lewis my dad was an engineer. He belonged to a local camera club and shared his love of photography with me.

From portraits to landscapes and then processing the films and producing prints, my dad opened up the world of photography to me.

This image of a much photographed shieling on the Isle of Lewis was selected for the exhibition and also used for their publicity banner.

This programmes was made for television by Mac TV. It was about Islanders who attended The Glasgow School of Art. It featured several of my photographs.

I was asked to contribute some of my photographs of shielings to this wonderful community exhibition. I supplied both analog and digital images with some going backer 40 years.

Having carried out several commissions For Harris Tweed Hebrides they often use my landscape photographs in their social medial shares.

I was commissioned to take portraits and supply photographs for this current exhibition that has been on display at "Tasglann nan Eilean" and also "Kinloch Historical Society".

I joined this project in 2017 for a 2 week arts residency in Soval Lodge, Lochs, Isle of Lewis. It has been a real privilege to record their stories since then.

This award winning short film was based around a community arts project and included several of my photographs.
